The Hell 2 has all of Hellfire's content, but it doesn't require Hellfire preinstalled. In essence, I would say both mods are extremely easy to install, since they only require diabdat.mpq file to function. Thanks for all your help BTW, seriously I am SO HAPPY to have these mods finally running!! :D Maybe I should just read those first before asking here. This isn't a super big deal tbh, but since there are many notable changes, having the ability to reference the new Help screen in Belzebub would be awesome!Īs for The Hell 2, I got it working fine as well, but how do I turn on the music? Maybe it tells you in the readme or modmin page. On a side note, how do I bring up the Help screen in that mod again? It opens at the very beginning of the game for you to browse, and in Vanilla Diablo 1 you press F1 to refer to it whenever, but in this mod F1 doesn't do that. Thank you!! Got Belzebub working like a charm. Belzebub has some of it too but doesn't have extra dungeon levels from Hellfire expansion. For The Hell 2 you should also download and unpack music files or you won't have music playing.īy the way, concerning TH2, it's described in readme and on mod's main page. Then you just start TH2.exe or Belzebub.exe. Then extract mod files using a program like WinRAR (it's the one that I use) or winzip. You copy this file into a new directory, put the mod files there. If you don't see file extensions then it's just DIABDAT file. Both Belzebub and The Hell 2 require diabdat.mpq file from Diablo 1 install directory.
